I grew up in a theocratic-dictatorial regime, shaped by the contradictions

between

the social mask and the private sphere, as well as by the discrepancy

between

external and internal identity

The "self" doesn't emerge as a stable entity, but rather as a movement

between

obedience and refusal,

between

conformity and rebellion. It is less a self than a mechanism that reacts to rules—by executing or subverting them.

The in-between is not a space between things, but a condition of becoming. It emerges where distinctions begin to dissolve: between body and architecture, image and presence, perception and experience, time and space. Here, architecture is no longer understood as a fixed object, but as a temporal condition—one that is continuously produced through movement, memory, sensation, and occupation. The human body enters this condition not simply as an inhabitant, but as a participant, a measure, and eventually, perhaps, as architecture itself. What happens when seeing is no longer an act of looking, but a form of becoming? When listening shifts into sensing? When an image ceases to represent and begins to exist? Between the material and the immaterial, between what is perceived and what is felt, between being and becoming, the in-between unfolds.
